5 lb Gooseberries
3 lb Brown sugar
1 pt Vinegar
2 tb Cinnamon
1 tb Ground Cloves
- Remove stems
- Wash Gooseberries
- Combine sugar and vinegar
- Tie spices in spice bag
- Add to syrup
- Bring liquid to boil
- Add berries
- Cook for 20-30 min
- Pack into hot jars
- Seal
- EAT
- Don't leave it on hot stove without mixing for too long because the sugar will burn
